The Loserr has decided to honor a Male and Female athlete each week for their strong effort and perserverance, even in the face of defeat or lack of recognition.! You never hear these athletes complain, whine or cry when things don't go their way. They just get out their Hankies, wipe their face and try harder next time!

The 1st female Loserr.com Perserverance Athlete of the Week is.......
Alex Martin Even though she was the youngest player on the US squad, she scored the only goal in the Finals of the 2011 World Cup against Japan. The American's went on to lose on a shoot out, but that did not diminish Alex's effort or the fact she is on her way to international stardom. For her effort, Alex has been selected as the 1st Loserr.com Female Athlete of the Week.

Adrian Gonzalez
Adrian set a finals record at the 2011 Home Run Derby with 11 home runs, only to have the record beaten minutes later by Robinson Cano. Setting the record was a great accomplishment but will mostly go unnoticed as all the praise has been given to Cano. For his amazing effort Adrian has been selected as the 1st Loserr.com Male Athlete of the Week.
